Royal visit to N.Z.

Here are some questions that I came up about the Royals.

Where in NZ did the royals go?
The Royals went to Christchurch in Latimer Square where the quake hit. There was a huge crowd waiting for them when they came. The Royals went where the CCTV crashed down.

Why did they come to NZ?

What did the Royals do?

What place did they stay?

Dear Mr Diver

Lately the internet has been very poor in room 42. When we have been getting to school our internet does not work so we can't go on the stuff we have been learning. Like when we've been going on a document the half or whole of the class won't get the document. Since we are a Multimedia classroom we should be able to do assignments straight away. Also around 1:00pm the internet shuts down so that is a real problem with our learning.

I am unhappy about waiting a long time for things to load, doing boring stuff while waiting for the internet, not using the laptops at a specific time when we need them and not learning enough.

I expect these solutions. The internet being ten times faster so we can work harder and internet running all day so we won't have to stop around 1:00pm.

Kind Regards

Jeremy

Khan Academy : The future of education

Khan Academy is made my Salman Khan who was a stop broker and he made videos show how to do something to do in maths. He thinks it doesn't have to be maths but he can do english, science, history and many more. Salman Khan is 37 years old and his videos come from his little closet which he spends time in. He started to make his own site and started to put educated movies on it. he started doing this in 2004 to help his cousin.

He teaches all levels of math starting from basic to advanced. All his videos started going worldwide. He was teaching kids all over the world and then Bill Gates started teaching his kids with Khan Academy. One day Bill Gates invited Salman to a show and Bill Gates hired engineers to help him and people to help him with his videos.

He started to make a software to view childrens education for teachers and for himself to know which subject to do.

He is doing really well even though he is not a teacher but he is really good and hopefully you can get help form Khan to.

Mandarin pinyin

What is pinyin? pinyin is chinese words which show the tone when saying a word because different tones in a word means something different.
Chinese is a tonal language. What does this mean? It means that chinese words have tones a little bit like pitch sounds, so they mean something different
How many tones are there? there are 4 tones.
Describe how your voice changes for each tone
Tone 1 - high pitched but flat.
Tone 2 - the pitch goes up.
Tone 3 - the pitch goes up and down.
Tone 4 - the pitch goes down.
Chinese characters don’t show what tone you should use.
What does ba (tone 1) mean? number 8
What does ba (tone 4) mean? dad

Student LED Confrences

Today my mum and I went to the Student LED Conferences at my school. We waited a few minutes in our classroom. I showed mum around the classroom and showed my work I had done before my teacher arrived. When my teacher arrived I sat at the desk and turned my computer on. It took a long time. When the computer turned on it was time to start the conference.

I don't have a selfie at the moment because the camera didn't work.

Very short stories

Here I am writing three short stories.
Hope you enjoy.

I was there. Whatching. The man was picking his choice and the time was ticking. He pushes the button. I am scavenging a place. The piece drops. The button pushed.

Lying down swifully. Legs deep into the sand watching waves. The sea munching the sand. The sea takes a big gulp. Water runs into my feet, I'm running along the sand.

Photo’s filled the wall. A photo in my hand. Crawling across the wall. Looking for an empty space. There I placed. A wonderful photo. But then I found out. Photos fell out.
