Primary School Science Week

Today we went to the science room to do some science experiments for Primary School Science Week. My favourite experiment was called Ring in my ears. Here is what it is and how to do it.

Ring in my ears

Equipment:
- spoon
- 45cm cut string
- edge of a table

Method:

Step 1: Tie the string around the middle of the spoon and make sure the string is the same on both sides.
Step 2: Make two loops and each end of the strings and making sure you can put your index finger in the loops that you made.
Step 3: Put your index finger in one of the loops and your other index finger in the other loop.
Step 4: Put your fingers in your ears with the string hanging down with the spoon.
Step 5: Bang the spoon back and forwards on the edge of the table and hear what happens.

What is happening?
What's happening is the vibration of the spoon is ringing in to your ears and the vibration makes the sound of a bell or a doorbell.

Here is a picture what it will look like
