Bivouac Shelter

In a few days time our class is going to camp and one of the nights we have to make a bivouac.

Teachers Questions:
How long does it take to set up this? It takes around 5 minutes to build.
What does the word bivouac mean? A quick shelter that soldiers, scouts or mountain climbers use.
What direction should the bivouac be facing? The bivouac should be Facing the wind

My Questions:
How far away does the bivouac have to be away from the fire?
What material do you have to use for a bivouac? sheeting or plywood, to groundsheets or
purpose made hoochies (bashas).
