Class interuptions

We are constantly being interrupted during class times. This is a problem.
Today I am going to come up with several possible solutions for this problem.

What kind of interruptions occur?
1. Intercom
2. Messenger
3. Phone
4. Internet

How does this affect us?
We are doing our work at our desk and when an interruption goes up we all

Intercom:
When the Intercom goes on you sit quietly and continue with the job that you're working on while you are listening to the intercom and taking notes in your head if it applies to you.

Messenger:

Social Experiment

What I think this video is going to be about:
Well the word in the title has the word social and what I know about the word social it means like you meet a group of people and you talk to each other and get to know each other and stuff like that. So I think part of this experiment has got to do with people around us.
Also it has the word experiment so what I know about this word is that maybe in this video they will try out to do something with the people in the environment.

Aim: √
The aim of this experiment is to find out what people feel when an anonymous person gives you a compliment.

Hypothesis:√
I think most people will feel shocked on what good thing that comes out of the speaker and most people would feel ashamed or angry when a insult comes out of the speakers.

Equipment: √
You will need:
- Speaker
- Wireless microphone
- Camera
- An anonymous voice.
- A Laptop

Method: √
Step 1: Connect the camera to your laptop and make sure it's turned on looking out to the place you are going to put the speakers.
Step 2: Set up your microphone to the speakers and make sure it works and that the speakers are turned on.
Step 3: Place your speakers the public area where the camera is.
Step 4: Once everything is in place it is time to start the experiment.
Step 5: Once someone comes right pass the speaker use your anonymous voice and give them a good compliment or a bad compliment.

Results: √
Most of the people which got a good compliment were shock and were feeling quite good about themselves. When it got to the insults the people felt furious and some of them swore or were looking at someone else and blame them on what the speaker said.

Conclusion: √
My hypothesis was correct because I said that the people that got an insult did look around and were furious. This experiment shows how people react to an anonymous comment.

Scam letter

On Thursday my teacher got a scam letter from Emily Park. Here is the link to the letter.
Link: Scam letter

What this letter is about:
So this letter is from Emily Park and it is to an Anonymous person and it is about someone who had lost US$75,00+ from scammers in Africa who talks to the FBI and meets a woman called Mrs. Maria Fernandez who gives back US$1,300,000.00 to Emily park. Then it says to participate to get the money you have lost or to give your money to be safe.

I've got 2 reasons this is a scam:

Reason 1: Emily Park's email changes throughout the letter.
Reason 2: I says she actually talked to the FBI about this but it is very unusual to talk to them unless someones murdered someone other you would go to court about this.

I have got 2 pieces of evidence that this is a scam:

First Emily Parks email changes,
so here is the first one,

Here is the second one.

Second it says

I will get your mind to change

Mode, Mode, Mu, Mu, Mu, Mode, Mode
Is the number that occurs occurs the most most
Singing Mode, Mode, Mu, Mu, Mu, Mode, Mode
Is the number that occurs occurs the most most
You got 1,2,2,3,3,3,4
1,2,2,3,3,3,4, which of those numbers did I say more?
which of those numbers did I say more? 3 is the mode cause it occurs the most
Mode, Mode, Mu, Mu, Mu, Mode, Mode
Is the number that occurs occurs the most most
Singing Mode, Mode, Mu, Mu, Mu, Mode, Mode
Is the number that occurs occurs the most most
You got 1,2,2,3,3,3,4
1,2,2,3,3,3,4, which of those numbers did I say more?

Now stop, lets take it to the middle. Got to find the median no time to daddle diddle
Line up all the numbers from the smallest to the big and the ones thats in the middle does a media jig
Go median, middle number, go median, middle number

Now the third ones mean, not nice but mean
Its the average number if you know what I mean
Just add up all the numbers and divide them by the number of added
Whats that, whats mean?
You add up all the numbers and divide them by the number of added
Yeah you know what I mean
You add up all the numbers and divide them by the number of added

It's the average number, mean, its the average number
1 more round and the song is done
Lets talk about range and have some fun
It's the biggest number minus the smallest number, in the group, in the group
It's the biggest number minus the smallest number , in the group, in the group

You got Mode, Median, Mean and Range

Don't you think these words sound strange?

Science behind a glow stick

What I think now: I predict that when you snap the glow stick the plastic makes a small explosion of bubbles and the chemical inside get attracted and then it starts to glow.

What I think now after hearing other ideas: Inside the glow stick I think there is something solid like glass with a chemical inside and when the glass snaps the chemical attracts and mixes so it will make it glow.

What I think now after seeing what happens: After I saw what happens behind the scenes of a glow stick, I found out there really is a glass tube behind it with chemicals and when you break the glass you mix it round thats why you have to shake the tube and then it starts to glow up.

What I think now after researching: So inside the plastic tube (not the inside tube)  is Phenyl Oxalate Ester and also Fluorescent Dye Solution outside the glass vein (which is the small glass tube inside the plastic tube) And inside the glass vein...

Synthesis is when you find something new and you experiment and research to improve your knowledge.

Math (Sampling)

Yesterday for maths we learnt all about sampling. We learnt why we do it and how to do it and we learnt lots more. So today I am going to talk to you about samples.

There are three types of samples Random Sampling, Systematic Sampling and Striated Sampling.
There are also two types of Random Sampling, there is Drawing out of a hat and using a Ran on a calculator.

- what is a sample? A sample is to take a bit from the population.

- why take a sample? A sample is safer quicker and easier.

- what are some examples of sampling done in real life? There is lots of sampling done in real life they use it in Hospitals, Science labs, Restaurants and many more places.

- what does the word ‘population’ mean? A population means taking the whole group from the topic.

- how can you tell if are you sampling the right population? You can tell by looking at the statement and you take the whole group that you can see in the statement and then you should be sure that you are taking the right population.
